The Canadian Home Builders' Association is the voice of Canada's residential construction industry, with the South Okanagan chapter representing member firms from Summerland to Osoyoos, Nelson and the Central Kootenay area. CHBA South Okanagan members represent every area of the housing industry - new home builders and renovators, land developers, trade contractors, product and material manufacturers, building product suppliers, lending institutions, insurance providers, service professionals and others. The South Okanagan Local Office operates throughout the year, keeping members up to date on important issues through e-news and managing events and seminars. CHBA South Okanagan manages the Penticton Home and Reno Show, the Okanagan’s largest tradeshow in the Home and Reno industry!
CHBA is one association working at three levels – nationally, provincially and locally. Our members join their Local Home Builders’ Association, and automatically become members at the provincial and national levels of the Association.
Each level of the Association works with the government at their level. And because many housing issues involve multiple levels of government, we frequently collaborate to ensure a consistent approach towards real solutions that will benefit consumers.
CHBA is a federal not-for-profit organization governed by an elected Board of Directors and a volunteer executive, supported by our professional staff.
At the national level, our system of Committees’ and Councils brings together builders and industry experts from across the country to share information and ideas, and to formulate recommendations to governments to improve the quality and affordability of homes for Canadians.
The CHBA is a three-tiered non-profit association, representing the builders industry locally, provincially and nationally.
The Canadian Home Builders' Association of British Columbia represents more than 2,000 members. CHBA members represent every area of Canada's housing industry - new home builders and renovators, land developers, trade contractors, product and material manufacturers, building product suppliers, lending institutions, insurance providers, service professionals, and others. CHBA National seeks a strong and positive role for the housing industry in Canada’s economy and in the life and development of communities. In addressing this goal, CHBA supports the business success of their members.
